I don’t teach composure from theory<\/h4>\n

I’ve been a Police Constable for over 20 years. I still am. Before that, nursing and emergency services. I’ve carried responsibility as a half-platoon leader \u2014 responsible for other people while the pressure was on.<\/p>\n

Composure is not a personality trait. It’s a discipline.<\/p>\n

I’ve had to use it in situations where losing it wasn’t an option. It’s the same discipline I work with in my clients.<\/p>\n

I’ve stood there myself<\/h4>\n

I applied to the departments where there were no other women. Some of that was curiosity. The rest was a need to prove my worth.<\/p>\n

Outside: strong. Inside: self-doubt, perfectionism, and an inner critic that never went quiet.<\/p>\n

I grew up in a world where you didn’t show what it cost. So I learned to handle it internally, while showing everyone else that I had it under control.<\/p>\n

What changed things wasn’t a new goal or a better strategy. It was the day I stopped pretending.<\/p>\n

There’s a difference between composure that covers something and composure that holds. The first is armour. The second is discipline. The second one is what I work with.<\/p>\n

Who I work with<\/h4>\n

C-suite leaders and senior executives with 15\u201325 years of proven success. People who make decisions all day that affect hundreds of others \u2014 and make them well.<\/p>\n
